  1. Thank you for using SimJack! 
  2.  
  3. Installation is simple.  Move all of the unzipped files to
  4. the directory you want them to permanently reside (e.g. \SIMJACK).
  5. Note: the *.SJP files are the predefined game parameter files.  
  6. They can be opened only within the application.  Next, go to 
  7. the Program Manager and put the program item (the icon) in your 
  8. "Games" program group.  This is done through the "New" command 
  9. under the "File" menu.

  11. Removal is virtually the reverse of the installation.  However,
  12. you will also want to remove the SIMJACK.INI file that resides
  13. in your Windows directory.

  16. This program will improve your blackjack game!  Why?
  17.  
  18.     1. It contains a real-time advice facility which 
  19.       statistically suggests what your next action 
  20.       should be.  No more guessing if you should "hit", 
  21.       "stand", "double down", etc.  Also, this advice 
  22.       can be user defined.

  24.    2. It contains game simulation.  Simulation is a 
  25.       feature that allows rapid automated play.  This 
  26.       feature gives you insight on how blackjack games 
  27.       transpire.  Also, it can be used to validate any 
  28.       user defined advice.  See, good advice will win 
  29.       you money over thousands of rounds of play.

  31.    3. It contains a full help facility containing basic
  32.       as well as advanced blackjack tutorials and ,of 
  33.       course, help on the application itself.

  36. This software is shareware and may be freely distributed.
  37. You are not required to register this software; however, 
  38. unlicensed copies will be restricted to 25 rounds of play.
  39. This restriction will effectively render the simulation 
  40. feature useless.  There are two methods of registration.

  42.    1. You can register through Compuserve's Shareware
  43.       Registration (GO SWREG).  SimJack is ID #3103.  A $10
  44.       debit will appear on your CompuServe bill.  You will
  45.       receive a license number via e-mail.
  46.  
  47.    2. You can send e-mail to 74462,1600@compuserve.com and
  48.       request the address to send your $10 check or money 
  49.       order.  Sorry for the inconvenience; however, this 
  50.       method will avoid street address obsolescence.  After
  51.       receiving your payment, you will receive a license 
  52.       number via e-mail.

  55. Please, send back comments or questions!  If the feedback 
  56. deems a new version release, then I will e-mail the registered
  57. users and let them know of the details.  I don't foresee any
  58. additional cost for upgrades.  For instance, existing license
  59. numbers will be valid on any upgrade.
